#1 Taking it back to the 80s with cartoon style
It's all about making a dramatic statement in cartoon style prints, inspired by the 80s skate culture, these are stand out pieces that can be worn with matching bottoms or a plain set of denim cut off's for a more chilled out look. Love them or hate them, they're set to be the next big thing this summer!
#2 Short suits
As mentioned previously in our 6 controversial trends in current men's fashion post the short suit has already caused an uproar amongst the fashion community but a trend that has already been sported by some of the most famous celebs and male fashion bloggers. But we can see the logic in them, and they really are a sensible transitional piece that will be more comfortable and cool to wear at work during the summer months as opposed to a full length suit.
#3 Double Denim
A look that has come and gone over the years and something that your dad has certainly worn at some point. Love it or loathe it, double denim saturated the catwalks for SS15 and it's easy to see why. An incredibly versatile look that can be an super cool outfit if dressed correctly. Break the denim up by adding in a plain white tee, and mix and match the colours of denim for a more understated look. Tom Ford's collection hit the nail on the head with the double denim look, where denim shirts and jeans were combined with structured navy blue blazers and leather boots. A look that is incredibly easy to recreate with clothing that you already have.
Florals are a recurrent trend for ladies wear year upon year and one that has slowly been creeping into male territory. This year it's set to hit harder than ever and one that most males feel a bit intimidated by. Florals are stereotypically seen as a feminine style choice but it's time to break the conventional idea this year and it won't be hard with the vast array of both understated and garish florals that are on the market this year. Team a bright floral top with light wash denim jeans for a classically cool take on this trend. For a more subtle look opt for some dark skinnies that look great with a neutral coloured floral shirt. It's a trend that's going to be great for day and night wear throughout the summer! If you're not that adventurous you can incorporate items with less floral detail on, such as socks with high rise jeans or by choosing a plain t-shirt with a floral patched pocket.
One of the most classic playing safe looks of all times is the stripes. A trend that seems to return year upon year, the nautical trend is set to be huge again in 2015 and there's no question as to why.Loved by men and women alike, stripes can be the main focal point of your outfit by teaming it with cool whites and light denim. A Breton tee would set up a double denim outfit with ease, there really is no effort required with stripes as your options of outfits are endless.
