Autumn is officially here which means it's time to update the summer wardrobe and become accustomed to the new fashion trends hitting the streets this autumn. As well as clothing, it's important to bear in mind that accessory trends change too, with chunkier items, darker colours and sleeker designs. With the colder weather on the way it's time to wrap up warm and embrace this enchanting season. With gentleman's style at the forefront of our minds, here are some of the most popular Men's Fashion trends for autumn 2015.
Every British gentleman wants to be remembered for the smart footwear that they wear and your shoes are often the first thing that another person is drawn to look at. This year it is all about smart brogues, that aren't just kept aside for formal wear. Whether they're bulky, patent, suede or shiny they graced the catwalks this year and give any gentlemen a suave look with ease.
Grey is the new black
Black has long been the fail safe colour worn and loved by men and women, but it seems that this year the focus has been put onto grey and been dubbed as the most popular colour for the season. Grey is an effortless colour that looks stylish on suits, knits and jeans, but steer clear from grey tracksuits if you want to avoid looking 'casual'. The best thing is there are so many different shades & hues of grey that you can buy 10 grey tops and never own one with the exact same colour!
The years may come and go but fashion has a way of recycling itself and knitwear is a trend that never seems to lose style. This year it's all about layering knits, not only the best way to stay warm but it looks great. Many styles were seen on the catwalk of polo necks being layered with knitted jumpers - it's a classic style that looks put together and smart.
We're not sure how we feel about this trend, but the season designers think it's going to be the next big thing, so we may have to work with it. Across the board, baggy trousers were high waisted and loose cut, and they provided a tailored foundation to suits for work or formal wear. Despite being a trend we aren't familiar with every gentleman that we have seen wearing them so far looks clean cut and on trend!
As well as grey being a hot colour for autumn fashion, military green is following closely behind and is very much so a seasonal and versatile colour that looks great on jackets, trousers and even suits! Whatever piece you choose to pick for your wardrobe it's sure to make your friends green with envy!
As we mentioned at the start, accessories are still a vital part of adding the finishing touches to a smart or casual outfit despite less flesh being on show. It's all about statement designs and striking colours to help enhance your outfit in a subtle yet stylish way. These purple stripe cufflinks are the perfect pair to complement the season. It's easy to add a punch of purple without overpowering your outfit, and they look great against a plain white or black shirt.
If you're heading to an important business meeting or attending a formal event you can easily add the finishing touches to your suit by adding an elegant silk pocket square to your suit. This midnight blue handkerchief is a striking colour that looks great against black.
Being on trend ourselves, we know how big military green is going to be this year and we have a wide selection of coloured accessories to help add that finishing touch if you're aren't braver to go for a full green look. These square green cufflinks are an ideal way of showing that you're in touch with the trends, and they would look daring against a crisp white shirt.
